Today I finally got around to creating and uploading a personal home page. I've decided to do a lot more recently, so I may actually finish some of my projects sometime within the forseeable future.About Me
My name is Scott Vincent Fritz. The second, to be precise. But online, I'm better known as "Midboss" - a title I was jokingly given through a direct quote from Disgaea, which stuck like glue. Originally born in California, I've grown up in Iowa, and currently live in the small town of Parkersburg. My interests include gaming, programming, and photoshop. In particular, I'm a fan of the Super Smash Bros. series, along with Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, Metroid, Tales of *, the Legend of Zelda, and Metal Gear Solid. As a programmer, I predominantly use straight C, though I've been moving to C++, and know a small amount of Ruby, as well as Game Maker's built in GML.
I first began coding somewhere between 2000 and 2002, shortly after I took up playing MUDs. At the time, I loved the medium - initially, they were like a poor man's MMORPG to me. It wasn't long before I decided to make my own, which floundered about for some time until I decided to code. I never properly learned, I simply looked at the code one day, and had a vague idea what it meant - things just went on from there. Since, I've gotten bored with and abandoned several MUD projects of my own, and temporarily lent my coding abilities to countless others, most notably End of Time. Throughout my coding career, I also released numerous snippets through way of MudBytes, ranging from simple spells and commands all the way up to a replacement combat system, mostly for ROM-derived MUDs, which I was most comfortable with.
